Diagram showing a flash series in an intact Eusyllis blomstrandi with 68 trunk segments (see drawing at left margin of an E. blomstrandi by K. Rehbinder). Stimulation was by pulling on the silk tube (see Fig. 3). Light emission is restricted to the posterior segments, with a gradual recruitment of a number of more anterior segments.
