From: Mytilid mussels: global habitat engineers in coastal sediments
Pooled shell length data for all samples of mussels Mytilus edulis in the Northeast Atlantic (Germany), Perumytilus purpuratus and Mytilus chilensis in the Southeast Pacific (Chile) and beds of Musculista senhousia in the Yellow Sea (South-Korea) and of Xenostrobus inconstans in the Indian Ocean (Australia). Sample size was 85 cm2 (n = 12 samples per area)
