Size (CL, mm) of fouled and non-fouled Emerita analoga in the lower swash (only females) and subtidal zones (both males and females). Ovigerous and non-ovigerous females were pooled for the analysis in the lower swash zone, given the low numbers of fouled non-ovigerous females found. Males from the lower swash zone were included in the figure but were not compared. Different lowercase letters indicate size differences between fouled and non-fouled females.
