Temporal distribution of female Nephrops norvegicus maturity stages in samples collected by the Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI) in the western Irish Sea from 1994 to 2016 (July–August) and the Centre of Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (CEFAS) in the Farn Deeps of the North Sea from 1998 to 2017 (October–February). The average incidence of ovary resorption (stage 5b) is very rare in the western Irish Sea (mean < 1%), while it is considerably higher in the Farn Deeps (mean 8.8%)
